If you cause accidental damage during one of your jobs, it is important that you report this to Housekeep as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to help resolve the matter, and please see below for what you need to do.
First, report damage to your customer:
- If your customer is at home, you should let them know immediately about any damage
- If your customer is not at home, you should call or chat with them through the Housekeep app. Here’s how: How to call or chat with your customer
Then report damage to Housekeep:
- Open the Schedule in your Housekeep app & tap on the job where the damage occurred
- Tap Help
- Tap Contact Housekeep
- Tap Report damage
- Let us know the details of the damage
When customers report damage to Housekeep
If damage is reported to Housekeep by a customer, rather than yourself, we will immediately contact you. Please respond to our questions within 48 hours so we can resolve the case as soon as possible. If we don't hear back from you, you may have to assume responsibility for the full cost of repair or replacement.
Covering the cost of damage
Your administration fee goes towards covering the cost of damages up to £30. If the cost of repairing or replacing a damaged item is greater than £30, we'll cover the first £30 plus 50% of the remaining sum up to a limit. The other 50% will be deducted from your payments.
