Before starting with Housekeep, we need to verify your identity and complete a background check for you. For this, we need to have the following documents uploaded:
- An identity document
- Your visa - if you're a non-UK/EU applicant
You’ll also need to provide your National Insurance number as part of your application.
If you’re on a student visa, unfortunately we're unable to proceed with your application as this visa does not allow self-employment.
Identity document
Here are the forms of ID documents we can accept:
If you are a UK applicant
- Valid passport OR
- Valid UK Driving Licence (full or provisional) OR
- Birth certificate (registered within 12 months of birth)
If you are an EU applicant
- Valid Passport + EU settlement share code OR
- Valid UK Driving Licence (full or provisional) + EU settlement share code
If you are a non-UK/EU applicant
- Valid passport containing valid visa + Settlement share code OR
- Valid UK Driving Licence (full or provisional) + Settlement share code
How do I get my share code?
Your share code is a 9 digit code provided to you by the UK Government, which proves your right to work in the UK and is valid for 90 days.
To get your share code, you'll need:
- Details of the identity document you used when you applied (your passport, national identity card, or biometric residence card or permit)
- Your date of birth
- Access to the mobile number or email address you used when you applied for logging in
Head to Gov.uk and click on Start now>. You’ll be sent your share code over email or SMS.
