- All Housekeepers need to complete a DBS check to work with Housekeep.
- You can start work right after your welcome session, but you will need to have your DBS check within your first week to continue working with us.
- The DBS check is designed to verify that you don't have any unspent criminal convictions.
You can request a Basic DBS check via the GOV.UK service

- Contact details
- Add your address history for the last 5 years:

- Confirm all details.
- Click Submit to send your application to DBS.
5. After You Apply
- Processing time: usually up to a few days for a basic check.
6. Result:
- A paper certificate is posted to your address.
- If you applied fully online and your certificate shows no convictions, you can also view and share the result online with Housekeep using a share code system.
- You need to share your result with Housekeep to continue working on the Platform
- Keep the certificate safe – employers may want to see the original or a verified copy
