1. How do I get the performance bonus?
We offer a £0.50/hour performance bonus to reward the Housekeepers with the best ratings and reliability streaks over the last 60 days.
To qualify for the bonus you need to:
- Have passed your trial period
- Keep ratings above 4.8* (last 60 days)
- 0 late cancellations in 60 days

2. How do admin fees work?
Your admin fees go towards damage cover, 7-day support and access to the Housekeep app. It's a small deduction from your two-weekly invoice and is only paid if you've earned over a certain amount. The exact fee depends on how much you've earned but it's never more than £6 per week.
Tips are not factored into calculating your admin fees (we never deduct a single penny from your tips).

3. How do I pay tax and National Insurance?
As a self-employed contractor, you’re responsible for reporting your earnings, and any Tax or National Insurance you may owe. To do this, you must register as self-employed and fill out a Self Assessment.

You can find your annual summary in the Housekeep Professionals App
All your invoices are available on the payments page of your Housekeep app. You can view your fortnightly invoices under the Work History tab, or your yearly invoice by tapping the Annual Summary tab.
4. How do I turn Notifications on?
We recommend having notifications turned on for your Housekeep Professionals app. This helps you stay up to date with your schedule, and ensure you get notified when your customers contact you through chat.
If you have an iPhone
- Open the Settings app and tap “Notifications.”
- Tap an app and press the “Allow Notifications” switch.
- Select the types of alerts you want to receive for the app.

If you have an Android
- Open your device's Settings app.
- Tap Notifications. App settings.
- Under 'Most recent', find apps that recently sent you notifications. To find more apps, in the drop-down menu, tap All apps.
- Tap the app.
- Turn the app's notifications on or off.

5. How can I earn the £50 referral bonus?
If you know any cleaners that would be interested in joining Housekeep, you can earn a £50 referral bonus by referring them to Housekeep.
They just need to complete their Housekeep application using your personal referral link. You can find this in your app by clicking on Refer Cleaners from the main menu. You’ll then automatically receive the £50 bonus once they pass their trial.
