Upon finishing your clean, your Housekeeper will secure your property as per any locking instructions on your account. If you’ve used a concierge or hidden key access method, your Housekeeper will then return the keys there. If you have provided your Housekeeper with a spare set of keys to keep hold of, they will take these with them when they leave.
Spare key access for Housekeepers is a discretionary choice. We work hard in vetting & background checking Housekeepers who join the platform to ensure that customers who choose to do this can have peace of mind.
Spare key access is an agreement between yourself and your Housekeeper, and Housekeep cannot be held responsible for complications arising from this. Any abuse of your spare keys from a Housekeeper would be a criminal matter, and although Housekeep would be more than happy to assist in any investigation, they would not be responsible.
In the event of accidental key loss - by either your Housekeeper or by Housekeep - we would not consider there to be a security risk to your home. Our tagging system has been designed with the intention of ensuring that misplaced keys cannot be linked to your property.
In all instances of accidental loss, Housekeep are able to cover the cost of a new set of keys being cut.
